Watermead Care are committed to providing the highest quality care for the young people who live with us. We operate a trauma-informed approach for young people that display emotional and behavioural difficulties and have complex needs. To do this, our team are trained in the therapeutic PACE model to ensure that all of the young people in our care are supported towards reaching their life’s full potential.
We currently have two homes. Holly Tree House, which is set in a beautiful location in Northamptonshire and can accommodate 3 young people between the ages of 7 and 14 years. We are proud that Holly Tree House has received an Outstanding Ofsted rating for three years in a row.
Charnwood House is our second home set in an ideal location in Loughborough which promotes the young people working towards independence. We can accommodate 4 young people between the ages of 14 and 18 years. Charnwood House is currently rated as Outstanding in all three areas. Please visit the ‘Ofsted Reports’ tab should you wish to review Watermead Care’s inspection feedback..
Like Holly Tree House, Charnwood House offers all the nurturing, support and fun but combines this with learning skills of independence and preparation for their future.
We believe in providing age-appropriate care and therefore did not want to offer placements ranging from 7 to 18 years, as is common in many children’s residential homes.

We therefore did not get an official rating, however, we were pleased with the extremely positive comments contained within Ofsted’s report. Please see our link below named “Watermead Resources” if you would like to view any of our Ofsted reports.

It is our belief that young people have the right to have a settled placement that not only meets their needs but where they can feel happy and safe.
It is our commitment to ensure our homes are suitably located for our differing age groups. Our younger home is located in a rural village and has plenty of space for play and immediate access to open countryside for children to explore with the care team. At Holly Tree House we want our children to make many happy childhood memories and have lots of fun.
Our older home combines the same nurture, support and fun but allows for independence skills to be gained due to it’s market town location. With easy access to public transport so the young people can learn the skills needed to travel to school, college or work alongside an independence package covering other aspects of adulthood, it is our hope we can support the young people through their transition to independence and be resourceful young adults.
